Sausage & Egg Breakfast Casserole

1 lb bulk sausage (hot or mild)
6 eggs
6 slices of white bread
2 cups of milk
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese (sharp or mild)
Salt & pepper to taste
½ tsp of mustard (optional)
½ cup mushrooms (optional)

Butter 9 x 13 glass casserole, lay slices of bread in bottom of casserole dish.

Brown sausage, drain and crumble.

In large bowl beat eggs. Add milk, salt, pepper and mustard. Add mushrooms. Pour over bread.

Sprinkle mushrooms and browned sausage over top of egg mixture and then top with shredded cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees 30 to 40 minutes until done.
